A stretch.... snowing here, we were all ready for spring.

There is a garden hiding under there, we have been out shaking off the snow many times during the day, that's bamboo on the left 20' pulled down laden with wet snow.

Exotic Early Spring Flowers

First of the years flowers.

 Every year these beauties amaze me, early exotic and hardy. 

They have hybridized in my garden to an amazing mix of shades of pink, cream, spotted and green.

 I have painted them in the past  here which do you like best? I was amazed that the old one had been pinned 472 times! I don't often check these things and am surprised by some statistics, 155,375 notes for this post on tumblr? And followers on tumblr 943....Do these reflect anything? Who knows in this social digital age.

The weekend comes to a close, seeds started, sewing projects finished, some paintings done, still an endless list of unfinished projects.

Seed for these arrived today!!!! Which one do you think would be the best print? Or best for a textile design for pillows? One giant poppy or a composition of many? I've been looking at them too long...

Late for several art challenges, being back at work full time and the low winter light really takes the energy out of me.

Flowers for 2014 & a giveaway

 After a busy Christmas with family, getting back to painting just in time for getting back to work! I think there might be something wrong with that?

Thought it would be a nice way to start the new year with a giveaway!

I finally got my wreath made, a neighbour gave me a bicycle rim which was perfect!

 We did make time for some walks to the beach close by, lovely soft light.

This new painting will be up on etsy shortly as a print.

More flowers this year and maybe trees. Note photo above, really enjoying the shape of the winter trees.
