Seaweed Pattern

 Seaweed Pattern, weekly flowers busy summer days.....



Flowers for the Seasonal Alliance the garden is blooming, next year (as all gardeners say) soaker hoses and a timer, it has been a marathon task to try to keep up. It has been a summer of swimming and visitors (more to come) and work. Never enough hours in the day!
We had jellyfish in our bay the other day and friends of our daughters staying who swam into them, no stings. Saw them later on the beach expired but inspiration for Illustration Friday skull, thought of skeleton of a jellyfish?

August Garden Delight

The garden in bloom, bouquets for the local market and for the Seasonal Flower Alliance. Last photo is dinner last night all from the garden, the colour is as beautiful as the flavor! The green Desert King figs heading for the market as well sooooooo sweet with all the heat we have been having.

The lilies and zinnias are in full bloom.

Petal Temptations

This weeks flowers for the Seasonal Flower Alliance: peony, Icelandic poppy, snapdragon, first of the sweetpeas and nigella, dames rocket parsley flowers, ninebark and lemon balm.

In Bloom

In bloom in the garden right now, after being in Toronto last weekend I realize how far ahead our gardens are on the coast. Spent the weekend planting tomato's, potatoes, cucumbers and more + flowers of course....
And painting of course! Top painting a bouquet, second a pattern which do you prefer?For illustration Friday universe....a big stretch....flowers are the universal messenger of love and affection?

Spring Voyage of Peonies & Euphorbia

 Peonies & Euphorbia spring passages. Happy Mothers Day! Was nice to hear from both my children today and have one over for dinner. Flowers below for the Seasonal Flower Alliance challenge in bloom this week lilac, euphorbia (my favourite) last of the tulips, bracken and 2 beautiful tree peony bloom from my friend Susan's garden! The inspiration for the painting.
