Buddies stretching after napping. Seems that is what they do most of the time with these short rainy days. They have wild bursts of play.

A little spring weather

 

We will go swamp tramping, with the fair weather dog who would wear shoes, hates the rain and loves to sleep. For Illustration Friday,  Watercolor Wednesday , Paint Party Friday , Monday Artday & Inspiration Avenue. I think rain must have been on the radar. More spring images here & here.

 Still playing with hellebore flowers these are mixed media on canvas, they are such a representative flower of spring. Rain doesn't seem to slow them up at all!

 There was debate as to whom was the scarier batboy.

Then there was the argument about dressing the dog to accompany them.

The scary bat trio may not make it out trick or treating, the bat dog doesn't look in the mood....rather "I'll try and please you but...please take this crazy getup off me!"

and being a dog fan I was delighted to add a little painting. Little did Morran know she was possibly going trick or treating!

Wet Dogs and more Soaked ones!

There is something about the smell of wet dogs. Nothing like a walk to the beach and the fragrance of damp dog for the rest of the day.

Big Dog Squeaky Toy

There is something very comical about a big dog with squeaky toys! Buddha loves this bright green very squeaky toy. He weighs in at over 100 lbs. but is really wanting to be a lap dog.

It was hard to sketch him with the toy not in movement! Mostly a lot of rolling around and jaw action!
