Almost Christmas Holiday & Art Challenges

 For several art challenges, Spirit=Illustration Friday, Adagio for Artists in blogland one word challenge.

 Slow, slowing down and savouring the upcoming holiday.

 The origin of these pieces is Island Illustrators musical alphabet show which will be displayed in the Victoria Public Libraries rotating through the branches.

Only three more days of work and then holidays begin, looking forward to seeing lots of family and friends. Best Wishes to all :)

In my garden the little birds would be my choice of totem animal; they are very busy enjoying the sunflowers that are going to seed.

Hidden Within

Hidden within; cabbage moths, if only they did good works instead of laying eggs and hatching into insatiable worms....

Feels great to be painting something other than living room walls, we are almost there, walls painted, floors sanded just the smelly floor finish to go down. The end is in sight :)

Its a Jungle out there

Its a jungle out there...or in my garden. Wildness is taking over + the garden

Jungle for illustration Friday challenge + Sunday Sketches + Artists in Blogland + Creative Everyday + Inspiration Ave. Several challenges that I have missed for several weeks. I need the discipline of creating every week! Life gets busy but I miss pushing myself to complete and share something each week. Thank you to all of these sites and the creative souls whose positive energy keeps them flowing!

Worn out? I doubt it...rarely do little people want to go to sleep or admit they are tired.  For Illustration Friday worn and rather late for Paint Party Friday and Artists in Blogland.

Sweet Patterns of Spring

Trying for looser watercolour patterns, what is in bloom this week. Sweet fragrance of peony and honeysuckle, jasmine starting to bloom, gardening like a mad woman......too many plants not enough space, caterpillars everywhere!

All the Blues in Bloom, attracting lots of bees.

Flower Child

Flower child literally! I had this sketch living in my sketch book and after weeding for several hours today she emerged. For several art challenges: Sunday Sketches, artists in blogland & just add water, silly.

Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs gardening like a crazy woman, little time for painting. Really enjoyed the mark making with this nest. Lots of brush work, the birds outside are having a real twitter fest!

We have had real spring summer weather and I'm starting seeds and going from one project to another........

Lavender Dreams

Dreaming of summer, had a few nice days, deer fence is up seeds started the fever begins :)

Viburnum and pussy willow early spring fragrant & soft.

 Whispering sweet nothings....Hearing some great secrets in response.

Passing on the secret, Mr Bear wants in but the whispering continues....Dog isn't too sure about this secret it's a bit alarming!
