Purr ONOMATOPOEIA?

For Illustration Friday challenge, Paint Party Friday & Sunday Sketches. Our Old Kitty was having the best sleep purring in her dreams. At 19 she does a lot of sleeping, purring and telling us what to do!
Here is a picture of the floor we slaved over! Not really wanting to put much furniture in. The floor was all scarred up and much the colour of the window frames. It has a lovely smooth finish now, original fir floors from the 50's. Kitty's favourite spot is on the sheepskin on the sofa.

Whisper

Whispering sweet nothings....Hearing some great secrets in response.

Passing on the secret, Mr Bear wants in but the whispering continues....Dog isn't too sure about this secret it's a bit alarming!

Fun with bits of fabric scanned in and collage into the watercolours. Pets posed for me, alarm and all :)

Stretch

Kitty stretch/pounce oh to be so flexible......
Buddies stretching after napping. Seems that is what they do most of the time with these short rainy days. They have wild bursts of play.

Swell Illustration Friday

She was so proud of her children, her heart simply swelled when she watched them. How magical and special the connection to them was. In busy times it was taken for granted, it took the moments of reflection for their presence to be truly appreciated.
A watercolor and digital take on the same sketch which one do you think works best?

This little watercolor crept in stealthily just like a cat on soft paws, the way that the love of a pet can creep into your life.
This young mans heart swelled when ever he looked at her, whenever he thought of her. The fact that she liked him made it all the more overwhelming.

Journey Illustration Friday

The mystery; is someone pulling the wagon? Or is this an imaginary journey?
I think the cat would like it to be stationary!

I think I like the top one best...but am undecided.  What do you think?
