When I read Illustration Friday Challenge of Tall I thought of giraffes, which I have painted before. Then I thought of stilts which I love... my oldest brother made me a pair of stilts when I was 9ish and I went up and down hill on them. The change of perspective was amazing only a foot or two taller and the world was a new place!

I want to be teachers pet
I think it is actually Mom who wants her child to be liked by the teacher? Mind you I don't think you can go wrong with flowers.

Freeze Dance
Dance your heart out then wait for the music to stop and FREEZE!!!
I couldn't resist making his shoes blue suede.....
Last weekend attended a beautiful wedding, very west coast in the forest at the edge of the ocean with whales keeping watch. Pure magic.
There were lots of little children spinning and dancing, collecting rocks on the beach and rolling down the hill. So no painting on the weekend and returned to work with a nasty sore throat that has turned into a cough, moving very slowly in the hottest days of the summer.

Bouncing: Boing boing squeak
This was the first thing that came to mind! I use this rhyme in babytime.....
Boing! Boing! Squeak! Boing! Boing! Squeak!
A bouncing mouse is in my house,
It's been there for a week.
It bounced from out of nowhere,
Then quickly settled in.
I'm grateful that it came alone,
I've heard it has a twin.
It bounces in the kitchen,
It bounces in the den,
It bounces through the living room --
Look! There it goes again.

Summer Rain
Summer Rain; the earth smells wonderful, the air is fragrant and warm. The storm passes swiftly and everything grows lush. In the garden foraging occurs looking for the first ripe raspberry, strawberry and blackberry. Tomatoes and basil, overblown dahlias and towering sunflowers, sensory overload!
Summer Reds
Montbretia and grasses, I'm not sure which I like better? With the grass or without?.....What do you think? I'm hoping these will multiply in the garden loving watching the humming birds visit.
