Owl

At twilight the owls land in the huge oak tree that stands right over our house, the first time I heard them I was sure it was a rowdy drunk rolling down the hill. Or a group of partying teens, the screeching and carrying on! Then I realized it was a pair or rowdy owls! ;-)

This is a beautiful owl. I laughed at your description of the rowdy owls. I remember that noise so well! Love this owl.

Thanks for the comments, we are planning a twilight walk tonight to see if we can spot them. I usually only hear them as it is too dark to see them. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving.
