Words and actions, kitchen love. How our mothers teach us to cook/or not...
My mother didn't teach me to cook she couldn't stand having someone underfoot in the kitchen but she did teach me to be fearless in the kitchen.
To not be tied to a recipe to substitute with abandon and be creative.
We shared the love of good food, growing a garden and enjoying the harvest.
Kitchen love is a good thing to pass on to our children.
Using word and art challenge from the Three Muses. Plus Artists in Blogland.
Creative Tuesday kitchen challenge as well.

nice painting!
Beautiful painting & lovely sentiment behind it. Its a great gift from your mum to instill fearless creating in the kitchen. It lends itself to teaching fearless creating in all mediums.

Lovely! My Mom did teach me to cook/bake. She is a fabulous cook and I wish I had more of her talent!

I love the fell of this. So much love and warmth. :)
I love the angle and perspective of this. It's so fun not using recipes....I, in fact made dinner tonight without a recipe book - and it was delicious....wonderful watercolor.
Oh what a lovely kitchen scene. I feel like I'm in the room with you. Such a sweet painting, and I think I could smell something good coming from the oven.

This painting tells such a heart warming story - beautifully done! visiting from artists in blogland
Beautiful. My mother tried to teach me to cook but I remain a lost cause. When I started burning holes in the bottoms of her pans, only then was I banished from the kitchen. :0)
