Mesmerizing Illustration Friday a little Creative Everyday and some Paint Party Friday!

She had always been mesmerized by the sound of the sea. Her father taught her about  listening to seashells it seemed to be his special magic. That the sound of the sea could be contained within a shell, a link to the ocean that lasted forever. No need for batteries or wifi, simply magical.

Having been away for a few days on the west coast at Long Beach,  shells and the ocean came to mind with this challenge. A bit of Paint Party fun. Here are more shells.

Playing with different papers and compositions which one do you think works best?

I like the softness of the first work but the lines work in the second piece does make it stand out more. I am partial to inks with my watercolors myself...Happy PPF!

Thanks for the feedback, I am always experimenting and find when I have looked at sketches for too long I get indecisive :)

I like the second one I think...I originally thought they were the same and one was photographed and the other was scanned but then noticed the black ink on the second. I think I just like how everything pops a bit more...great work!

Thanks for the feedback, I often play with the composition and these are on two very different papers which makes for an interesting challenge.
