Summer Rain

Summer Rain; the earth smells wonderful, the air is fragrant and warm. The storm passes swiftly and everything grows lush. In the garden foraging occurs looking for the first ripe raspberry, strawberry and blackberry. Tomatoes and basil, overblown dahlias and towering sunflowers, sensory overload!

Summer Reds

Montbretia and grasses, I'm not sure which I like better? With the grass or without?.....What do you think? I'm hoping these will multiply in the garden loving watching the humming birds visit.

Looking Back Feeling Lonely

Summer adventures over, new friends left behind feeling a little lost and lonely.

Carry as many as you can read

Summer reading club is happening at the library. Children ask "How many books can I borrow" I reply as many as you can read or carry. I watch them rush to the Children's department and load up then precariously head to the checkout with a slippery stack. We hear the odd crash.

Lost on the wind

Lost on the wind,

Grass seeds  floating

all around.

Haven't quite got

these out of my

system yet.
Maybe I should add some flowers or other weeds

(the thistles are getting huge!)

Seeds suspended in the wind

Weeds Grasses and seed-pods. The seeds float suspended in the wind to pop up everywhere. I have decided to embrace nature and find the beauty in weeds. If you can't beat'em celebrate them! For Illustration Friday & Paint Party Friday.
