Summer Reds

Montbretia and grasses, I'm not sure which I like better? With the grass or without?.....What do you think? I'm hoping these will multiply in the garden loving watching the humming birds visit.

  1. LOVELY work - the colors are wonderful! I think I would keep the green stems and leaves, for some structure and contrast, but maybe leave out the twiggier grasses. Beautiful painting either way.

  5. Gorgeous!! I say keep the grass but I am a big lover of greenery - I fill vases with greens and leave out the flowers completely sometimes. . . Visiting from Artists in Blogland

  8. I like both. A completely different feel to both, but they are both gorgeous.

The first is very strong and vibrant and the grasses take charge and march your eye around. In the second, it is more dreamier and you can lose yourself in the flowers.

  9. Absolutely gorgeous, but I prefer the grasses in!! My friend is an former floral manager and that looks more like a full bouquet!!

Enjoy the rest of your week!!
