Old new borrowed and blue

She was visiting her grandmother for Christmas. She had a wonderful new floaty blue dress, her grandmother gave her a very old beaded purse, and told her she could borrow any book she wanted!

For the Inspiration Ave challenge old,new borrowed and blue.

And for Paint Party Friday I had a hard time deciding which post to link to?

Here is the other one, I think they both round the year off.

All the best for 2012!

  3. This is just lovely, and that description reminds me of visits to my great Aunt's house, which seemed like a treasure palace of books and beautiful things that she let me explore.

  15. What an absolutely charming painting - I love the looseness and casualness of the watercolor and that you're only seeing the girl from the back. And you told a great story with the painting - gorgeous!
